Active since its formation in 1989, Therapy? is a metal and punk-influenced alternative rock band from Northern Ireland. The band's harder-edges, characterized by buzz saw guitar tones and chugging riffs, are always balanced out with a keen melodic sensibility that helps it appeal to a diverse range of guitar rock enthusiasts. Therapy?'s early inspiration came mostly in the form of noise and punk rock bands such as Sonic Youth, Fugazi and Husker Du, but over the years the group has trudged toward a more radio-friendly alternative rock style that leans away from aggressive tones in favor of tight, streamlined songwriting.
