Brooklyn-based band Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds is a nine-piece outfit that combines dizzying array of rock, blues and soul styles with a fresh perspective. Defined in large part by the band's lead singer Arleigh Kincheloe, she manages to match the rest of the band's volume and bombast with verve and panache. The band plays frequently in and around New York, but largely travels the rest of the US playing large blues, rock and jam band festivals.
