Wussy is an indie rock band that formed in 2001 in Cincinnati. The four-piece outfit is comprised of drummer Joe Klug, bassist and keyboardist Mark Messerly and co-vocalists and guitarists Lisa Walker and Chuck Cleaver. Wussy's rock and roll music has been praised for its dual guitars, which alternate between droning chords and jangly riffs, and its authentic midwestern sound. The band's debut album Funeral Dress, was released in 2005 to critical acclaim for breaking barriers of the standard three-minute pop song. For its 2011 studio album Strawberry, Wussy highlighted the structure and arrangements of its songs, making the album arguably the band's most streamlined effort.
