Mr. Bleat

The Medellin, Colombia-based quartet Mr. Bleat has been making an electronic style of arty pop music since forming in 2007. With chirpy female vocals and propulsive rhythms set alongside synthesizer ooze, the group manages to make some of the more tasteful pop music that South America has produced in recent memory. Though Mr. Bleat has yet to find a sizable listener base in the United States, it draws formidable crowds during its concerts in Colombia, and with more touring outside of its home country, as well as layovers at music gatherings--including stops at the iconic Austin, Texas-based festival South by Southwest--the band's popularity in North America will undoubtedly grow with time.
