Though the band toiled around Los Angeles in different variations for years prior, the real beginnings of Gliss can be traced back to 2003, when members Martin Klingman and David Reiss met a Danish transplant named Victoria Cecilia. Impressed by her adept musical talents and dreamy vocals, the two quickly added her to the fold, giving the band a new identity based around crunchy garage and ethereal shoegaze-inspired indie rock. Performances with the likes of The Horrors, Silversun Pickups and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club upped the trio's cred, and soon it was filling venues all on its own. With a 2012 appearance at the South By Southwest music conference, Gliss seems poised to make an even bigger push forward in the very near future.
