Melbourne, Australia-based band Electric Jellyfish combines the soul inherent in blues with a grimier, noisier rock sound owed largely to grunge. The band cites Cormac McCarthy as an influence in addition to The Jesus Lizard and and Crazy Horse. Electric Jellyfish creates a sound that may sound hopeless and dark, but is ultimately more realism than nihilism.
