Just A Band is an experimental electronic, disco and soul group from Nairobi, Kenya. Combining sturdy house pulses, slick vocals and funky instrumentation, the three-piece's hybrid style has become a hit within its home country, and continues to find bigger and bigger audiences in Europe and North America. Just A Band formed in 2003 while its members were studying together at college. A commitment to a DIY attitude and a lack of genre confinements bonded them together and has helped make the group's music sound entirely cohesive despite its eclectic nature. Just A Band's hybrid style will not only appeal to African music fans, but also to fans of electronica, funk, hip-hop and slickly produced pop.
