About

Il Abanico is an experimental indie pop project based around the talents of Juliana Ronderos (vocals) and Nicolas Losada (guitar). The two Colombia born musicians joined forces in 2010, despite claiming to have entirely different taste in music. The lack of mutual musical touchstones may have ultimately proved to be a blessing for Il Abanico, however, as the duo's songs often sound entirely unique and free of any over-attachment to modern indie trends. Now based out of the Boston area, the duo employs a group of talented and diverse musicians from Argentina, Peru and Japan to help flesh out its beautifully crafted and creatively arranged songs.
