Upon first exposure to Ice Choir's music, listeners may find it hard to believe they're listening to a band born in the 21st Century. The Brooklyn-based synthpop group's style is a dead ringer for classic 1980s fixtures of the genre, such as Tears For Fears and The Pet Shop Boys. Unabashed pop melodies combine with layers and layers of synthesizer lines and bouncy electronic rhythms on "Two Rings," the band's debut 2011 single--which has found some buzz around New York's dance pop scene, in addition to landing Ice Choir a slot at South By Southwest in 2012.
