Though the English band Belligerence makes a style of music that could easily fall under the metal or hard rock blanket, the group's sound is so unique the quartet is almost deserving of its own characteristically original genre tag that's created specifically for the group. With unmistakable swagger and a flippant stage demeanor, Belligerence comes off as a band that could care less about whether listeners enjoy its sound, even though one gets the impression that deep down, the four members of the group care tremendously about how their artful metal is perceived. Releasing its debut EP in 2011, Belligerence has built a loyal fan base in its native England, and with more touring outside of its home country, the group's popularity will no doubt continue to grow, especially in hard rock loving countries like Germany, Norway and Sweden.
