UV POP

When John White began making music under his UV POP guise in the early-1980s, he was only performing with the aid of a prerecorded backing tape track. Though he was playing solo, his forward-thinking new wave-inspired alternative rock sound was unfettered and pure--which left White with the reigns to control and direct the music that UV POP created. As time wore on, however, the UK-based musician started to crave a bit more instrumental depth in his music and soon he enlisted an ensemble backing band to bolster his sound and add rich sonic layers. Soon, UV POP was starting to receive a welcome dose of attention, considering when White was performing solo, there was a lack of fans who were eager to throw themselves at anything that UV POP created.
