The Underachievers is a hip-hop duo that emerged out of the crowded music scene of Brooklyn, NY in 2011, when rappers Issa Gold and AK teamed up under a shared moniker. Armed with a psychedelic-tinged sound, the group quickly rose to recognition and signed with Flying Lotus's imprint Brainfeeder. The Underachievers dropped two mixtapes, Indiogoism and Lords of Flatbush, before releasing its first full-length studio album, titled Cellar Door: Terminus Ut Exordium, in 2014.
