Based out of San Francisco, Magik*Magik Orchestra is a modular group of young musicians that have become a go-to backing orchestra for many local indie musicians. Specializing in collaboration, the group shifts size--from a full scale orchestra to a string quartet--depending on the nature of the project. With a resume that includes performing and recording with the likes of John Vanderslice, The Dodos and even German composer Hauschka, Magik*Magik Orchestra is quickly gaining a good deal of respect on the indie music scene.
