Phonte Coleman is a rapper and R&B artists from North Carolina who is known simply as Phonte. Former member of hip hop group Little Brother, Phonte is best known as half of the R&B/electronic duo The Foreign Exchange with producer Nicolay. In addition to his own musical projects, he has appeared on a several records as a vocalist, including DJ Shadow's 2006 album The Outsider. Phonte's debut solo ablum Charity Starts at Home, was released in 2011 on the Foreign Exchange label.
