David Wain

Actor/writer/director and comedian, David Wain is a stalwart of modern alternative comedy. Originally from Ohio, he found his like-minded soon to be collaborators, such as Michael Ian Black and Michael Showalter, while attending college in New York City. As a founding member of popular 1990s MTV sketch comedy program The State, Wain began what has become a successful career punctuated with work on a number of cult projects. In addition to his work with The State, Wain has directed the 2001 film Wet Hot American Summer, formed the comedy troupe Stella, produced a series of web shorts known as Wainy Days and directed episodes of television programs such as Party Down and Childrens Hospital.
