The Ocean Blue is an indie rock band from Hershey, Pennsylvania that was formed while it's members were still attending junior high school in 1986. Opting to pursue a sound that blends jangly, surf rock-esque guitars with a defined electronic sensibility, courtesy of analog synthesizers and programmed rhythms, the group owns a sound that flirts with the line between British new wave and American college rock. Releasing its eponymous debut album in 1989, The Ocean Blue has managed to carry on a respectable career with records including its sixth studio album, 2013's Ultramarine.
