Born and raised in Massachusetts, John Hodgman in a comedic author, actor, and television personality. First gaining widespread fame with the release of his first humorous novel The Areas of My Expertise, which caught the attention of Jon Stewart of The Daily Show, Hodgman went on to become a regular contributor and "resident expert" for The Daily Show, as well as the editor for the humor section of The New York Times Magazine. Hodgman's satirical wit delivered in a straight-faced and almost scientific manner has caught on with a diverse audience and has allowed the humorist to appear in radio, television, and print regularly.
