Craig Finn is an American alternative rock singer/songwriter who is best known as lead singer for the well-regarded group, The Hold Steady. Both with his band and out on his own via his solo career, Finn crafts highly-literate tales about the revelations that can come from late nights, heavy drinking and making a poor decision or two. The New York City via Minnesota songwriter employs all of his Hold Steady trademarks in his solo material, right down to the gruffly spoken vocals and detailed lyrical minutia, but presents it in a far more stripped-down and almost intimate way. Finn's debut solo album, Clear Heart Full Eyes, is set to be released on Vagrant Records.
