One of the most recorded jazz drummers in history, Roy Haynes has had a prominent career that has spanned more than six decades. Though Haynes is well into his 80s, the drummer still performs and records his unique style of bebop, hard bop and avant-garde jazz. Having recorded with Miles Davis, Chick Corea, The Rolling Stones and numerous others, Haynes is also a bandleader in his own right and has released over 30 albums as such. Aside from his tremendous drumming skills, Haynes is known for always fostering positive relations with all of his band members and was named amongst the best dressed men in America by Esquire in 1960, alongside Cary Grant and Clark Gable.
