Jane Birkin

Though born in the UK, Jane Birkin is best known for her French films and albums since she first landed in the limelight in the 1960s. Birkin is probably best known for her lengthy affair with Serge Gainsbourg and their scandalous (and hit) album Je t'aime...moi non plus, as well as for their daughter Charlotte Gainsbourg (also a prominent musician and actress). However, the leading lady also has released several solo albums since then, generally in the French pop genre and highly acclaimed. Though Birkin is now in her mid-60s, she still is an icon worldwide and occasionally performs live shows, which shouldn't be missed.
