Jessica Mauboy is an R&B singer who rose to fame on the fourth season of Australian Idol in 2006. Though she left the show as the runner-up, she earned a contract with Sony Music Australia, who released her live album, The Journey, in 2007, followed by her debut studio album, Been Waiting, in 2008. As she broke into acting, making her film debut with the role of Rosie in the 2010 film Bran Nue Dae, she continued to offer her pop and electro-infused brand of R&B on records such as the 2010 LP, Get 'Em Girls.
