Known as the quintessential gypsy music orchestra, Taraf de Haidouks has made a name for itself around the world since forming in Romania in the late 1980s. While the orchestra is known for having a rotating cast, it has 15 core members who maintain its unique flavor. The band has won prominent fans like the Kronos Quartet, which the band has collaborated with, Johnny Depp, who invited the band to perform in his film The Man Who Cried, and fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto, who has had the band perform at several of his fashion shows. With such a diverse following, Taraf de Haidouks has had the opportunity to perform around the world.
