Jai Johanny Johanson, better known as Jaimoe, spent his formative years playing drums for Otis Redding's backing band, which helped him hone his percussionist skills to an impressive degree. Next the drummer became one of the founding members of The Allman Brothers band, which he still performs with today. His side band that he has devoted much of his later years to, however, is Jaimoe's Jasssz Band, which artfully blends several styles of American music, including blues, rock and roll, R&B and jazz. The band performs new takes on classic songs as well as its own material, never failing to impress the audience with each band member's impressive instrumental skill.
