Known as Ohio’s master of the swinging blues, Sean Carney comes from a long line of bluesman, with many close family members distinguishing themselves as jazz horn players. Instead of the horn, however, Carney picked up the guitar and has mastered it over three decades of performance, backing international blues acts across the world. In 2007, Carney picked up the highly prestigious award for best guitarist at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, a well-deserved title. Carney generally performs with his eponymous backing band.
