About
Anti Icon is a five-piece metal band based out of Ghent, Belgium. In line with the characteristics of metalcore, its sub-genre of choice, the group fuses the in-your-face aggression of punk rock with occasional breakdowns full of slow and sludgy riffing. As lead singer Jasper Daelman screams atop Anti Icon's testosterone-fueled songs, the rhythm section of Jonathan Braeckman (drums) and Fabian Delsupehe (bass) maintains an efficiently propulsive energy full of extreme metal passages and double bass drumming. The band released its debut EP, Contrast, in 2011.
