Man Vs. Humanity

Originally formed in 1997, Man Vs. Humanity was one of the more relentless and political metal groups to emerge out of Germany. The group's penchant for down and dirty riffs, sludgy recordings and brutally cathartic energy made it a hit around its hometown of Karlsruhe, managing to appeal to fans of hardcore punk and various forms of metal all at once. With its politically-charged lyrics, Man Vs. Humanity used music as a means of touching on important issues--something it felt was lacking in the metal scene around Germany at the time. The group broke up in 2001 but reunited in 2010, touring with a lineup comprised of both new and original members.
