LaRue Nickelson is an American jazz guitarist and regular member of the Michael Ross Quartet. As a musician who is extremely well-versed in the history of jazz music, he acts as a jazz guitar teacher during his spare time at the University of South Florida. His mellow fusion style melds his snazzy electric guitar licks with rock influences and plenty of smooth jazz throwback elements. With the Michael Ross Quartet, Nickelson showcases his strong grasp of jazz interplay with a collection of some of the most respected players in the South Florida jazz scene.
