When her band Tarharymä split in 1995, Maija Vilkkumaa began her career as a Finnish solo artist. She has since become one of the most famous pop singers in the country. Vilkkumaa writes her own music and lyrics, and one of her most celebrated singles to date is “Satumaa-tango”, which was originally released in 1999.
