The Holdup is a band from San Jose, California that was founded in 2006. During its formative years, the group would workshop its sound and learn by rote the compelling genres that defined its musical style including reggae, hip-hop and pop. The Holdup released its debut album, Stay Gold, in 2008 and since then the group has kept busy, releasing additional LPs, touring and collaborating with bands like The Dirty Heads, Rebelution and Pepper.
