About
Based in Tasmania, Hobart Hurricanes is an Australian T20 cricket team that competes for glory in the Big Bash League. Formed in 2011, it is a charter member of the BBL and is a force to be reckoned with. However despite being a consistent performer, the BBL crown has been elusive with its closest finish being the runner-up spot in 2014 and 2018. Its roster has featured several players of international repute such as Kumar Sangakkara, George Bailey and Jofra Archer. It hosts its home matches at the Bellerive Oval.
