He is the younger brother of Paolo Conte, another acclaimed Italian singer/songwriter from Asti, Piedmont. The two actually began their musical ambitions together, with Giorgio on the drums. As time went by, and the two brothers plowed their own paths for a life in music, Giorgio leaned more towards writing for other artists, such as Mia Martini, Rosanna Fratello, Gipo Farassino and Francesco Baccini, but he definitely formed his own image and musical destiny. His albums include: Zona Cesarini (1982), Giorgio Conte (1993) and L'ambasciatore dei sogni (2000).
