Brisbane Heat is one of the contestants in Australia's Twenty20 cricket competition, better known as the Big Bash League (BBL). The team is based in Brisbane, Queensland and plays its home games at the Brisbane Cricket Ground. It began its journey into the game in 2011 and was one of the teams who have been a part of BBL since its inaugural season. Although the team did not win in its debut year, it managed to take home the title in 2012. The team’s roster has been home to many great players such as Peter Forrest, Chris Lynn and Brendon McCullum.
