Opus One

About

Opus One is a musician-led series by the Memphis Symphony. The concert series was created to bring together musicians with no boundaries of era, genre or location, resulting in consistently new and unexpected music. The shows combine the classical instrumentation of a symphony orchestra with rock, blues, jazz, or alternative genres to rework the music of a featured, well-known Memphis-based artist. Opus One shows are always held in a non-traditional venue to further blend the lines between contemporary and classic, as well as to give the shows a more casual setting where eating, drinking and socializing are encouraged.
