Miike Snow

Initially conceived by Swedish producers, multi-instrumentalists and childhood friends Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg, the indietronica band Miike Snow was officially formed when they brought singer/songwriter Andrew Wyatt on board in 2007. With Karlsson and Winnberg serving at producers under their Bloodshy and Avant guise for pop stars like Madonna, Sky Ferreira and Britney Spears, the two blended an electronic intensive sound to Wyatt's melodically rich singing style to create Miike Snow's characteristic sonic aesthetic. The group released its self titled debut in 2009 and the album's unique amalgam of adept production with emotively polished vocals helped attract a sizable fan base and lift the group to a prestigious pedestal in the modern music community.
