Matt Pryor is a singer/songwriter and musician from Lawrence, Kansas who rose to fame as the lead singer of The Get Up Kids during the emo wave of the mid-1990s. As he and his band rose to commercial acclaim with their pop punk sound, Pryor extended himself into various projects, including The New Amsterdams and Reggie and the Full Effect. He dropped his debut solo album, Confidence Man, in 2008, and he continues to release his own work as well as new material with The Get Up Kids.
