Alert New London is a rock band from Columbus, OH that experiments with a sound-cloud of noises to create an atmospheric brand of alternative rock. Jim Fowler, Cory Nicol, David Woodrow, Gavin McKenzie and Stephen Lee make up the band and are known for using up to 39 guitar pedals during a single show, utilizing guitar effects for ambient pop textures. Alert New London's 2011 debut album Youth, took 15 months in the studio to record but proved to be worth the effort. The album, with its vocal harmonies and playful drumbeats, is an unpretentious celebration of youth, proving Alter New London to be a refreshing addition to the alternative rock scene.
