Vermont-based guitar virtuoso, multi-instrumentalist and sampling wizard Nick Zammuto is best known for his work in the pioneering "collage band" The Books. The group was known for their innovative use of found sounds, analog instruments and vocal techniques. Zammuto's solo work is similar in this regard, though decidedly more pop and personal in nature, although sound sculpture and sound editing figures prominently in his work.
