Well-versed in an impressive variety of musical styles, Laurie Amat is based out of San Francisco, but performs with bands and projects around the world. Incorporating everything from opera, to acoustic industrial, to organic avant-garde into her vocal repertoire, Amat is a one-woman show that entrances the audience. A frequent collaborator with The Residents, Mirek Vodraska, Porn Orchestra and many others, Amat is known for her experimental vocals performed and created acoustically, but has recently began working with Max Mathews on a complex midi music controller at Stanford, proving her diversity in electronic fields of music as well.
