Teddy Thompson is an English alternative country singer/songwriter who made his professional arrival in 2000 with his self-titled debut LP. The son of folk musicians Richard and Linda Thompson, Teddy was reared in an extremely musical family and by the age of 18 he had moved to Los Angeles to pursue his music career. Though Teddy languished in obscurity for a while, he managed to breakthrough with his well-received 2008 album, A Piece of What You Need.
