One Finger Riot

One Finger Riot is the musical project of Los Angeles-based painter and musician Faris McReynolds. Born in Dallas, McReynolds was an established fine artist while still attending Otis College of Art and Design but found his success isolating him from creativity. He turned to music and adopted the pseudonym One Finger Riot after becoming a full-time musician. In 2011, McReynolds released his single "Work/Drink/Sleep," an upbeat yet mellow pop tune that serves as the brightest moment on his debut album, Come Drag Me Down. The album, released early in 2012, reflects the loneliness and isolation he experienced in Los Angeles with One Finger Riot's minimal and slightly reserved pop sound.
