The Gipsy Kings are a French group consisting of members who hail from Arles and Montpellier. The band's music has a rumba-influenced flamenco style that has been incorporated into modern, pop-oriented songs. During its formative years, the group played at Romani (Gypsy) parties and on street corners before professionally recording under the name Gipsy Kings. Their total album sales worldwide is now over 18 million, helping make the band one of the world's best-selling group from France in history.
