Nicholas Durocher, known as TALK, is a Canadian singer-songwriter from Ottawa. He gained fame with his 2021 single "Run Away to Mars," written during the COVID-19 pandemic when he moved back to his parents' home. The song went viral on TikTok in 2022, reaching #1 on Billboard's Adult Alternative charts and peaking at #22 on the Canadian Hot 100. His debut EP, Talk to Me (2021), was followed by his first album, Lord of the Flies & Birds & Bees (2023), which earned him several Juno Award nominations in 2024, including Breakthrough Artist of the Year, which he won. TALK has performed at major events like the 2024 Canadian Grand Prix and continues to grow his presence in the music industry with his unique style and introspective lyrics.
