Elaine Petty--no relation to Tom Petty--has made a name for herself as a country music maven not afraid to draw on traditional styles of honky tonk and rockabilly. Based out of Alabama, Petty isn't one to get grouped into the commercial country-pop, but instead stays true to the roots of her home state. While Petty occasionally will sing a ballad, most of her music is upbeat and honest.
