Most people have heard Morning Mood and In the Hall of the Mountain King. Both of the pieces have been accepted into the mainstream's musical lexicon and even though people know the songs, they probably don't know the composer who wrote the pieces: Edvard Grieg. Born in 1843 in Norway--a country surrounded my mountains and snow--Grieg quickly became an adept musician and as he grew older, orchestrations started emerging. By the time of his death, Grieg was considered one of the greatest composers to have ever written classical music.
