Often called the "hillbilly Pink Floyd," Gandalf Murphy and the Slambovian Circus of Dreams, or Grand Slambovians in its most recent formation, formed in Sleepy Hollow, New York in 1998. The six-piece blends Appalachian folk with roots rock and quirky elements of psych, upping the antics when the band performs its annual Halloween costumed ball in New York City and London. With a devoted fan base throughout the US and UK--with many fans traveling hundreds of miles to attend a show--the band has continued touring nonstop and reincarnating itself with each record.
