Swamp Dogg is the soul music moniker of Virginia Beach native Jerry William, Jr. With a classic R&B and country-flavored style, he adopted his pseudonym Swamp Dogg and released his first album, Total Destruction to Your Mind, in 1971. Though he has taken extended breaks from entertainment, he resumed a steady touring schedule in the early 2010s that went along with the reissue of his debut LP in 2013 on Naturalsound Records.
