The Unicorns

The Unicorns was a short-lived but popular Canadian indie rock band from Montreal. The group's only proper full-length release, entitled Who Will Cut Our Hair When We're Gone?, was released to strong critical acclaim. The album's youthful take on skewered oddball pop and loose lo-fi psychedelia made the band a brief indie darling after its release in 2003, leading to a whirlwind touring schedule over the next year that took a toll on its members. By the end of 2004, The Unicorns had already decided to call it quits. One of the group's members, Nicholas Thorburn, has remained in the indie pop spotlight with his new project, Islands.
