Roy Buchanan

Roy Buchanan (1939-1988) was a guitarist and blues musician from Ozark, Arkansas who is generally considered to be one of the greatest guitar players in American music history, despite his relative lack of renown. Buchanan made several recordings since he began his career in 1958, many of which are touted as some of the best examples of blues guitar playing currently in the genre's extensive 20th Century discography. Unfortunately, Roy Buchanan never achieved the fame of several of his contemporaries, but has greatly influenced many of today's most celebrated guitarists nevertheless.
