Rino Gaetano

Rino Gaetano (1950-1981) is the stage name for Salvatore Antonio "Rino" Gaetano, a pop rock singer/songwriter from Crotone, Italy whose life was cut short at the height of his career by an automobile accident. His debut album, Ingresso libero, was an immediate hit with Italian audiences and did much to establish Gaetano's eccentric and idealistic style in Italian popular music during the 1970s. Gaetano continued to release several albums throughout the 1970s, which are now widely celebrated as some of the most inspiring music to come out of that decade in Italy.
