My Favorite was an indie pop/rock band from Long Island. The band's success came in the early 1990s when new wave retro music was coming to the forefront of indie music. The band's debut album Love at Absolute Zero, released in 1999, had hints of glam rock and post-rock and roll irony, though the it found its culminating sound in the post-punk period shortly before its breakup. Lead singer Andrea Vaughn left the band in 2005, ultimately disbanding My Favorite. The band left behind two albums, including its final effort The Happiest Days Of Our Lives: The Complete Joan of Arc Tapes, in 2003.
